Vimala Raman is an Indian Film Actress, appearing in Tamil and Malayalam films.She is of Indian origin, born and brought up in Sydney, Australia.

She is a trained Bharatanatyam Dancer, having trained in this Classical Indian Dance from a very young age at the Natanalaya Dance Academy, Sydney, Australia. She has been performing Bharatanatyam dances on stage for over 16 years.

She was crowned Miss India Australia and Miss India Australia Cyber Queen in the year 2004 .

She entered the South Indian Film Industry with her role in the Tamil movie Poi in the year 2006.Her first Malayalam movie was Time, released in 2006.

Apart from Mollywood and Kollywood Movies, she has also acted in Telugu and Kannada movies, thus becoming a truly South Indian Film Star. She has had much success in Mollywood.

She acted with Malayalam Movies Megastar Mammooty in the movie Nasrani.

It is reported that Vimala Raman is signed for the English movie Dame 999.
